Our Story:
Silverlight Recording is a fully equipped Recording Studio housed in a world-class music facility designed by legendary Studio Designer Tom Hidley. Our Live Room is acoustically and visually stunning, and can accommodate anything from a single artist to a large orchestra. Our company began as a home studio in the basement of Chief Audio Engineer and Producer, Ivan Fermin's home. His dream was to provide musicians and voice-over artists with professional recordings while offering artists a wide range of industry standard equipment to greatly help shape and dial in their sound. As with most home studios, this vision was challenged by only one thing: The Room. While a lot can be done in home studios, there are quite a few limitations and drawbacks that the home studio operator (and artists) will face on a constant basis. One of the greatest of these limitations includes working in small, cramped rooms that do not have the cubic volume to handle the high sound pressure levels (SPL) required to accurately capture your voice or instruments' natural timbre. Our Live Room provides adequate space to handle high SPL's and both our Control Room and Live Room offer ample space for both artists and engineers to be very comfortable while working on your song, record, or other project. Unlike most world-class sound studios, we strive to accommodate the budget of the common working musician, so don't hesitate to contact us for booking inquiries, or to schedule a free tour of our amazing facility.
